All students must be in full and correct uniform.
The School Uniform Policy provides additional opportunities for increased school safety, encourages our students to experience a sense of school identity and belonging, encourages an improvement in student behaviour, reduces school clothing costs, and encourages, improves and expands academic excellence. It also promotes a positive image amongst the community. With the understanding that a student’s behaviour is influenced by the way the student is dressed and with the understanding that no student should dress in a manner that is disruptive or has an adverse effect on school activities, the following mandatory uniform standards for student attire have been developed.
Students are expected to dress in the school uniform during the school day and during school related activities. Every item of school uniform should be clearly labelled with the student’s name. IAA operates a lost property system, where ‘lost’/mislaid items of uniform are held centrally for collection. If unlabelled items of uniform are not collected after one full term, they will be distributed to the local SOS orphanage.
